Learn about the possible side effects of Aimovig®
Aimovig® was studied in 3 clinical trials* of approximately 2100 patients.
Everybody’s experience with Aimovig® is different. It’s important to talk to your doctor about whether Aimovig® is right for you and to learn about its possible side effects.
You shouldn’t take Aimovig® if you’re allergic to erenumab-aooe or any of the ingredients in Aimovig®. Allergic reactions, like rash or swelling, can happen hours to days after taking Aimovig®.
What were the common side effects in the first 3 months?
In clinical studies, the most common injection site reactions were pain, redness, and swelling.

Common side effects observed were injection site reactions, constipation, and cramps with muscle spasms.
Aimovig® may cause serious side effects, including allergic reactions, high blood pressure, and constipation with serious complications.
